An exposé for the world to ponder on...
"The Mystical Land - Lucban: The Story,"
a fitting tribute to one of the most fascinating communities in the world, Lucban, Quezon!
What really lies inside this ancient town?
Examining the journey of the most mystical land in the Philippines dating back from pre-hispanic era until present.
Many things have been written and said about Lucban like the famous Pahiyas Festival already a world wonder and its proximity to Mount Banahaw which is considered a mystic mountain.
They are festivities and natural beauty which command deeper thoughts that more than meets the eye.
There are other things as well unheard of and unheralded about Lucban which call for repetition, recall, review and rediscovery to place the town at par with other communities in the region, in the nation and in the world.
Lucban is rich in history, geo-political, cultural and socio-economic truths and information in aid and consonance with the quest for common welfare and equality among persons on multi-dimensional spheres of human life.
The modernity of Filipino life also started in Lucban even during the pre-Hispanic period.
Local hero Apolinario de la Cruz, also known as Hermano Puli, is one member of the Lucban historical process of emancipation from imperialism, colonialism, oppression, obscurantism, elite capitalism and social inequity
The Mystical Land - Lucban: The Story, is seen as a legacy for the future, the story of how the place and its people got to where it is now, provides understanding of how the present and the future should be dealt with in all aspects of development.
People have to know their history, their roots, for them to love and treasure the place and the people they identify with.
In the same way, Forefathers need to be honored for the existence of the town.
Nothing tells a story better than the documentary that we produce, publish, and popularize today and in the years to come.
We are unraveling the mystique, the real, and the unimagined.
Through the documentary film "The Mystical Land - Lucban: The Story" it is high time that we look at Lucban, Quezon with deeper understanding of how we Filipinos can indeed finally create our own national and individual identity for progress and development.
JoMo Media UK, FilCASPro.com, and BVV8 Media Productions partner with Lucban Historical Society spearheaded by Jojo Raneses in this project. The first of a series, it is an exposé to the world to ponder on.
Rediscover the history of Lucban.
